Little Red Riding Hood is a fairy tale by the French author Charles Perrault (1628-1703). It was first published in 1697; then it was translated in English by Charles Welsh (1850-1914) in 1901. The story revolves around a girl called Little Red Riding Hood, after the red hooded cape she wears.
